A truth is being revealed to you. But it takes faith to receive the truth: “…faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God” (Romans 10:17). Have you received truth by meditating on the Word so that you may receive understanding that God Almighty and His Son Jesus Christ, by the presence of the Holy Spirit, all divine fullness, lives in you? You have the Head of every kingdom and authority in the universe living inside of you!
The Bible confirms that in Jesus is the Godhead (Colossians 2:9). And you, as a born-again child of God, are in Jesus. Therefore, in Him, because of His presence in you, you are filled with the Godhead; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Colossians 2:10). And Jesus is the “Head of all rule and authority (every angelic principality and power) (Colossians 2:10 Amp). You are “complete in Him, who is the head of all principalities and power” (Colossians 2:10 NKJV). Your “completeness is found in Jesus” (Colossians 2:10 TPT). “You are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within you” (Colossians 2:10 TPT)!
Faith to receive this amazing truth is found in the Word of God. By faith, you gain knowledge and understanding that helps you believe. By faith, you know the truth before you experience it, because you believe what God says. Faith “proves what is still unseen” (Hebrews 11:1 TPT) in the natural world. You don’t need to see it to believe. You “walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).
But what if this Word has not renewed your mind or filled your heart? Then someone can provide false information, or maybe a half-truth, and you may be cheated out of experiencing who you are in your spirit. Or circumstances may distract you from the truth, causing you to think the Word is not true; you may judge by the situation and not the Word of God. It is easy to be persuaded by a philosophy, deception, nonsense or man’s ideas, “basic principles of the world and not according to Christ”, when God’s Word has not brought understanding, or the Holy Spirit hasn’t led you into the truth because of lack of meditation on the Word (Colossians 2:8). This is a perfect set-up for the enemy to steal what God has provided to you. Building your life on the sure foundation of the Word is your vital necessity, otherwise you will be living on shifting sand, meaning you are living your life built on lies, foolishness, or deception, which will cause you to fall (Matthew 7:24-27).
Being well-balanced on God’s Word will alert you to the strategies of the enemy. By knowing the truth, you will recognize a lie. “The enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour” (1 Peter 5:8 TPT). A believer who has not considered the Word their vital necessity is easy prey! You will be easily persuaded against God’s truth and receptive to the deception of man that sounds good, but is false.
All that Jesus is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17); God has made you holy by His truth, purified you, and separated you for Himself (John 17:17). You are a child of God. “Every child of God overcomes the world”, for your faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world (1 John 5:4 TPT). You believe in Jesus, who is God’s Word made flesh. Your faith is born from Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). By faith, you know the Word is true. By faith, you fight the fiery darts of lies from the enemy. But you can not do this without gaining knowledge by the Word, as it stimulates faith that is in your spirit, a fruit of the Holy Spirit present in you (Galatians 5:22,23). Without godly wisdom, you will be established on false teaching that deprives you of living a victorious life in Jesus. You are instructed to avoid vain philosophies of man, but only intimacy with the Lord and His Word will help you to be empowered by faith to live the life you were called by God to live. You have divine fullness living in you. This is an empowering truth, which also helps you live confidently and in peace, even in a world of turmoil, but only if you are established on the Word, on truth.
Lies can also lead you to emotional distress, anxiety, or depression. Lies can make you doubt; your confidence in Jesus may be compromised, as well as your confidence in who you are as a born-again child. You may be led astray from your destiny. You may live a defeated life, allowing the enemy to dominate you. Life may be frustrating and confusing as you lean towards understanding based on lies. Unbelief may come from a lack of knowledge. But God’s Word is your pathway of truth, a light to your path, a lamp to your feet, a safety guide (Psalm 119:105). The Word comforts and keeps you from living a life of chaos and confusion. His Word directs, informs, disciplines, and protects you. This should give you confidence and comfort.
When you know God’s truth, you trust Him, and you are equipped to recognize the lies of this world. You are not deceived. The Word is God loving you, helping you, and saving you from trouble! He is so wise that He knew that you would need His instruction and His help to live from your spirit. Mediating on the Word fills your heart with containers of faith and power. The Word stimulates or activates this abundance in you to flow out! His Word informs your mind, helping you to know and to believe, standing sure-footed against the shifting sands of this world and its lies. You hear the Word, and it strengthens you; you are living on the Rock! His Word is the firmness of your life and the victorious experience of His divine fullness in you!
