How Precious I am to You, Oh Lord! Knowing how precious you are to the Lord is the building block of trusting Him.

Trust is built on knowing His Word, which means you know Him. His Word confirms the following upon which you build your trust.
God knows you:
He knows all of your ways. He knows your thoughts. He knows your words even before they are spoken. He created you. His thoughts of you are more numerous than the sand on the seashore. He is before you and behind you. (Psalm 139)
God chose you:
He hand-picked you out to be His very own before He created the world. He planned in love for you to be adopted as His child through Jesus Christ, if you believe in Him, the Son of God. (Ephes 1:4,5)
God loves you:
He is a Mighty One, your Savior, Who is in union with you. He rejoices over you with joy! He takes great delight in you; “in His love He will no longer rebuke you”, but instead He sings over you (Passion Translation Zephaniah 3:17). His love for you is extraordinary! He wants you to know how wide, how long, how high, and how deep is His love for you. He desires you to experience the greatness of His love (Ephesians 3:18,19).
God has provided everything you need to live on this earth:
He is your Shepherd. He has provided everything you need. There is no lack for a child of God. He causes you to rest as you trust in Him. He refreshes and restores your life with His goodness. He guides you, protects you, and comforts you. He lovingly cares for you. His goodness, mercy, and unfailing love will follow you all the days of your life. He is with you wherever you go. (Psalm 23)
God is always with you, giving you His strength:
God will not fail you, give you up, or leave you without support. He will not release His hold on you! You should take comfort and be encouraged because He is your Helper. Because of His faithfulness, ability, and might, there is no reason to be fearful or discouraged (Hebrews 13:5,6). He strengthens and empowers you to do all things He has called you to do. He infuses inner strength and confident peace into you (Philippians 4:13).
You trust God when you understand by revelation of His Word that you are the apple of His eye (Psalm 17:8). You have captured His attention. He is watchful over you! As you abide in Him through Jesus, “you are hidden in the strength of the God Most High,” and He is your shelter of great confidence (Passion Translation Psalm 91:1,2). This is the God in Whom you trust!
Ask yourself these questions:
How does knowing the above contribute to trusting God?
What is your experience when you trust Him?
How can you develop trust in the Lord?
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth that is necessary for you to rest your life in the arms of the Savior. For each of you, it may be a different truth, but the Father knows you well, and the Holy Spirit, Who was given to you by the Father, will increase your understanding. Seek Him with expectation because it is His desire that you grow in this knowledge, experiencing His benefits as you trust in Him.
